- Evidence of wax latching onto hair and skin inside the ear canal
- Presence of old wax hardened due to long periods and layered deeply
- The omission of the prescribed pre-appointment wax softener drops, culminating in wax too rigid to extract

Symptoms of Ear Wax Blockage
The human body secretes a substance commonly known as ear wax, or medically called cerumen, in the outer part of the ear canal via special glands. The function of this natural substance is to be the first line of defense for the ear against potential harms and infections. In other words, cerumen, in spa covering the skin of the ear canal, ensnares dust and tiny particles, while also presenting a barrier to water penetration. The ear naturally gets a buildup of a small quantity of wax, which the skin migration process, moving from the ear, eliminates from the ear canal.

What is the cost?
Our ear wax removal service is priced at $130, which covers treatment for both ears. We provide a discount of 10% for individuals who possess a senior or pensioner card. Please note, this service does not qualify for a Medicare refund.
How long does it take?
This will depend on how deep in the ear canal the wax is located, how much there is and how hard the wax is. Your appointment is for 30min. Occasionally, a second appointment may be required if the wax is deep in the ear canal, if the wax is hard or if you didn’t use wax softener to soften the wax prior to your appointment.
Is it painful?
Normally, you won’t feel a thing during the process, but in a few cases, there might be slight discomfort if the earwax is deeply embedded or impacted. Should any discomfort arise, the process will be ceased right away. In some instances, especially with deep-seated or hard wax, it might be necessary to schedule another appointment to ensure a safe and pain-free extraction. Following your procedure, your healthcare provider will provide further instructions.
