New Hearing Aid Launch- Phonak Audeo B-Direct
On Tuesday some of the MAC clinical team attended the launch of Phonak’s new hearing aid – the Audeo B-Direct.
The Audeo B-Direct is the first hearing aid that can connect directly to Android phones without the need for an intermediary device (streamer). In fact they are compatible with iOS and any Bluetooth phone*.
About 64% of smart phone users in Australia use the Android operating system and up to now we have not been able to offer mobile phone connectivity without the need for a streamer. For many of our clients, this product will offer a solution that has not been available to them before.
We are very excited to offer the Audeo B-Direct with its smart phone direct connectivity to all of our clients including those who use an Android phone.
We also love that it is truly a hands free solution. You just need to press a button on the Audeo B-Direct hearing aid to answer a phone call. This means that even if you are at the other end of the room from your phone, you can take the call with a press of a tiny button on the hearing aid. You can talk hands-free using the hearing aids as a wireless headset and adjust the volume with the new Phonak Remote app.
The new Audeo B-Direct is available at Melbourne Audiology Centre, please call us 1300 761 021.
(*with Bluetooth 4.2 wireless technology and most older Bluetooth phones.)
