Are you and your friends having trouble hearing in a noisy restaurant?

Are you asking each other to repeat things?

Are you asking each other to repeat things?
Imagine if you also have a hearing loss and you are trying to communicate in these environments.  It can become impossible and it’s often the reason why people with hearing loss stop going out.
Some restaurant noise levels can be as high as 88dBA. Many restaurants have a lot of shiny and acoustically reflective surfaces.  Whilst they are beautiful to look at- polished surfaces, concrete or polished floors, lots of glass windows, high ceilings – these reflective surfaces contribute to increasing the din.  Hearing in this reverberant noise can become quite difficult, even for people with normal hearing.
Contact us if you are worried about your hearing or if you have stopped going out to restaurants because you can’t hear and participate.
